Everybody knows the economy is bad right now. Unfortunately, it's effecting the cigar industry. Brands from Perdomo (a few cents per cigar), Black Label Trading Company (Approx. 8%), Oliva (5%-7%) and Roma Craft (2.8%-8.9%), are increasing their prices due to the economic pressure. Some brands are staggering their price increases, such as Oliva and Roma Craft. While others are increasing their prices across the board, such as Black Label Trading Company. This is just something to keep in mind when buying your cigars. While it sucks that the prices are increasing, sometimes there's no way around it.

In other news, the National Sales Manager for Rojas Cigars, Albert Cisneros, has left the Rojas brand to start a new venture. Cisneros is establishing an independent cigar brokerage firm, Smoking Swan Brand Management. While Cisneros has left Rojas, it was not on bad terms. Rojas will be represented by Smoking Swan. With that said, Good luck to Albert Cisneros!
