Blackbird Cigars have been a growing brand in the boutique cigar world. Their flavor profiles and presentation bring a lot to their table. They blend cigars for every occasion, and every style, to bring you the best smoking experience possible. Their newest cigar, the Superb, holds up to their reputation.

The Superb has a presentation that can only be found by Blackbird. The band is black with light blue accents and border. The word "Superb" is in the remarkable Blackbird font. In addition to the visuals on the band, there are birds imprinted all over the band. There is also the signature bird tab, which is used to pull the band off without damaging the band or the wrapper. The cigar itself is a medium-dark brown wrapper. It has a slight oily sheen to it, and does show some veins and seams. Needless to say, the cigar is very eye catching

The Superb's construction is a bit tricky. The Filler and Binder are undisclosed. However, the Wrapper is a beautiful Ecuadorian Habano. The draw is smooth and allows the smoke to hit the palate perfectly, or cause you to fight the cigar. The burn is steady and consistent throughout the cigar. The ash is medium gray, and very sturdy. In fact, the ash doesn't fall until it's well into the second third. The foot doesn't flake, so your dark shirts should be fine. This cigar's construction allows you to enjoy the cigar and the experience with ease.

The cold draw on the Superb may provide notes of dried fruit and nuttiness. The first light provides strong notes of dark chocolate and earth, while mild notes of caramel hit the palate.

The first third of this cigar may provide stronger notes of earth and dark chocolate. These are accompanied by subtler notes of espresso, white pepper, and cinnamon. Throughout the first third, there are also hints of vanilla and toast that touch the palate. The retrohale on the first third may provide aromas of oak, black pepper, and coffee.

The second third may provide prominent notes of dark chocolate, earth, and espresso. There are subtle notes of nuttiness, molasses, and white pepper. There are also minor notes of brown sugar and toast. The retrohale of the second third may have aromas of dark chocolate, coffee, black pepper, and toast.

The final third of the cigar may have strong notes of dark chocolate and espresso. The may also be accompanying notes of earth, white pepper, toast, nutmeg, and cinnamon. There may also be undertones of vanilla and brown sugar. The retrohale of the final third may have aromas of cinnamon, black pepper, and coffee.

The Superb is priced very reasonably. A single cigar can go for around $10.72, while a box of 21 can go for around 225.28. This is a great price for this cigar. In fact, it could go up to $12 per cigar, and still be worth the smoke.

Given the flavor profile and construction alone, this cigar is worth a try. It's perfect for smokers who have enjoyed medium-full bodied cigars. Light bodied smokers will also enjoy it as the flavors are prominent and hit the palate nicely.
