Bentley Cigars are relatively new to the American market. Since their introduction to the US, they have released the Bentley White, and the Bentley Green. This review of the Bentley Green comes after the review of the Bentley White, which you should read and enjoy if you have the time.

The Bentley Green has a very similar appearance to the Bentley White. The band is simple, yet refined. It's a primarily green band with white and silver accents, and is enough to catch the eye next to its counterpart. The cigar itself is a beautiful, medium brown in color. There area very little blemishes on the wrapper, and it's virtually seamless. The presentation of this cigar is just a precursor to the elegance of its flavor profile.

The Bentley Green is constructed with Nicaraguan Filler and Binder, and has an Ecuadorian Rosado as the Wrapper. After lighting the cigar, it has a smooth draw, which allows the smoke and flavor to hit the palate perfectly, and give an effortlessly enjoyable smoking experience. The cigar also provides a decent smoke output, the aroma can be enjoyed along with the flavor. The ash is sturdy, and light gray. It falls around the inch and a half mark. The foot remains sturdy and lit, and doesn't flake any ash, so your back shirt with be fine with this cigar.

The cold draw on the Bentley Green may provide notes of dried fruit, milk chocolate, and a subtle nuttiness. The first light may provide notes of leather, black pepper, and cedar, which primes the palate, and wakes up the taste buds.

The first third has strong notes of leather and almonds, which provides a nice base layer of flavor. These are accompanied by subtle notes of light roast coffee, milk chocolate, and black pepper. There are also subtle notes of ginger throughout the first third. The retrohale on the first third may provide notes of black pepper, earth, and the aroma of baker's chocolate.

The second third may feature strong notes of baker's chocolate and earth. Undertones of almonds, black pepper and leather can also be tastes. a very subtle hint of molasses hits the palate about halfway through the second third, but fades quickly. The retrohale of the second third may have aromas of black pepper, leather, and dry hay.

The final third of the cigar may have strong notes of earth and baker's chocolate. Accompanying notes of dark coffee, cedar, and brown sugar may also be tasted. Notes of almonds and dried fruit linger on the palate, but do not exceed anything more than a hint. The retohale on the final third may have aromas of leather, black pepper, and coffee.

The value of the Bentley Green is decent. A single cigar can go for around $15, while a box of 20 can go for around $300. While this is unfortunately a regular price nowadays, this cigar may be better in the $11-$12 price range for a single.

The flavor profile alone is magnificent. It has wonderfully warm notes, and is perfect for pairing with either a coffee in the morning, or a bourbon in the evening. This cigar isn't particularly strong, so everyone from newer smokers to veteran smokers can enjoy it. It is a truly delicious cigar, and well worth trying.

GC Rating: 92
